True Blood Season 5 Episode 2 Meanwhile, Eric and Bill are locked in the trunk of a limo carrying an intense female vampire with questionable taste in music. Her driver agrees with me.
Paul McCartney was so much better before the “Wings” era.
Bill & Eric discuss their limited options in the trunk of the limo, where they are suffering the slow burn effect of the silver netting they are now laying on. The silver netting blocks them from popping the trunk open yet they have to do something, since they are obviously not coming back from this Authority Car Trip To Hell. They decide to use an umbrella that someone left in the trunk (sure, some vampire lined the trunk in silver netting yet forgot to remove all stake-like objects) to stab a hole in the gas tank and wait, fangs crossed, for the inevitable fiery explosion that will hopefully free them from the vehicle without setting them afire. Good plan!
True Blood Season 5 Episode 2 It works, but the two Authority Vamps also survived. Bill is injured more than Eric, which gives us the now-perfunctory Homoerotic Moment of the Episode between the two:
You must flee, Eric. Save yourself (and Sooookeh, if you can).
As the driver takes aim with his gun, the female vampire stakes him and Eric recognizes her as Nora, his long-lost “sister”, another child of Godric, which naturally leads to Eric making out with Nora.
This is how you fake passion, Mr. and Mrs. Moyer. Notice the hair-entwined fingers and the mouth suckage.
I don’t understand, Eric. Weren’t WE just having a moment?
Welcome back Trubies! We last left off with Sookie cradling Tara’s lifeless body reminiscent of her granny Adele while Bill and Eric give Nan the true death in order to protect Sookie and because, as Eric puts it, “What a bitch.” Sam is cornered by a wolf pack and Alcide has found Russell concrete burial has been disturbed. As the season premiere of True Blood goes on, things begin to “turn, turn, turn”.
Tara takes a shot to the head for Sookie and Debbie reaps her wrath by having her own head blown completely off. Bill and Eric hearing her cry for help, are left to clean up the Nan-mess as Eric points out that Sookie chose neither of them, “Fuck Sookie.” Lafayette arriving too late to help watches her cousin dying in front of him as he’d just killed his lover, Jesus when possessed by the spirit of Marnie (Fiona True Blood Season 5 Episode 2 Shaw) and Pam arrives looking for Eric and observes the mayhem, “Color me impressed, you guys known how to party.” In wanting Pam to leave, Lafayette convinces Sookie and Pam to turn Tara for them in order to save her life. “Turn her? I don’t even like her” followed by the equally impressive, “Who’s to say she won’t come back completely and utterly fucktarded?” Pam reluctantly pours her own blood into Tara’s mouth and at the risk of this recap becoming “Pam greatest one-liners”, let’s jump elsewhere.
Leaving a quick message to Jessica about staying in the mansion, Bill and Eric are captured by the Vampire Authority and holed in a trunk to be given the “true death”, Bill and Eric create a ridiculous, yet totally baddass escape involving a punctured gas tank, an umbrella and some fire. Boom goes the vehicle with Bill, Eric Hayes and the mysterious female vamp thrown from the car. Said female vamp stakes Hayes, the driver and begins making out with Eric, revealed to be his sister Nora. Bill rolls his eyes as the incestuous make-out session continues and turns out into a completely uncomfortable experience sexual view of the two. Culminating with TB most ridiculous line to date, Eric exclaims “we fight like siblings, but we fuck like champions.” On the pier awaiting Nora’s vampire faction to come to their True Blood Season 5 Episode 2 rescue, Eric receives a call from Alcide that Russell has escaped. The Vampire Authority knew nothing of Nora (being a Chancellor within group) and Eric’s connection and as Bill and Eric accepted their new identities, Marcelus Clarke and Ike Applebaum, the VA finds them, kills the allies and captures Bill and Eric once again. This time, Nora’s affiliations have been exposed. An ominous voice boasts into the dark pier hovering above them, “In the name of the one true vampire authority and who’s with them in all justice that is made manifest by God, DO NOT True Blood Season 5 Episode 2 FUCKEN’ MOVE!”
Bringing Tara body into the grave with Pam and refusing to hold her, Sookie questions her ability to turn someone else only for Pam to note she’s done this before and it did not turn well. That Pam is “wearing a Walmart sweatsuit for y’all. If that doesn’t demonstrate team spirit, I don’t know what is.” And so Pam and Tara are interred, while Lafayette and Sookie return inside to clean up the pieces and mess left behind of Debbie. Lafayette asks Sookie, “Why don’t you go to the police and claim self-defense? You’re a white girl, they’ll believe you.” Sookie reveals that she took a moment and chose to kill her. Arriving back at Lafayette’s, True Blood Season 5 Episode 2 Jesus’ body goes missing and he tries to say goodbye. Returning home and in what has to be the most “so bad, its good” flashback sequence, Sookie reminisces how she and Tara became friends. Leaving Lafayette alone with a razor blade and the most annoying red herring, Sookie hosts Alcide (kicking away a forgotten tooth while grabbing some lemonade) tells her that Russell has escaped and that he was never given the “true death”. Protective in wanting her to come with him, Sookie tries to explain (without revealing she killed Alcide’s girl) only to have Lafayette rush in saying they don’t need no werewolves or mystical creatures. “Don’t fucken growl at me!” With Alcide rushing off, Lafayette and Sookie prepare for nightfall and Tara’s hopeful vampiric rebirth.
Amidst all of these scenes we find out that True Blood Season 5 Episode 2 Terry has a sorted past and that he is hiding something, that Russell Edgington is BACK, and that Tara has become a vampire. I would say that this is a very strong first episode for this season because it really got viewers back to the “grass roots” hilarious, violent, sex-filled, supernatural feel that True Blood has been able to convey for many episodes across the previous four seasons.
Back at Jason’s, Steve releases Jason from the glamour spell and admits that he is, in fact,
a Gay Vampire American,
and also hot for Jason. Side note: what’s really scary is that there is an actual person like this (except for the vampire part).
True Blood Season 5 Episode 2 Ted Haggard: He who travels the “straight” and narrow(-minded) path falls off pretty often. And I’m a vampire!
What a world we live in; truth really is stranger than delicious TV fiction! This isn’t even the best part of the scene!!! When Jason politely refuses Pastor Steve’s advances, Steve decides to bite him but is interrupted by Super Red Riding Slut before he can.
Both of his heads & necks belong to me!
She goes all Substitute Queen of Louisiana on Steve’s ass, Jason rescinds the lovelorn pastor’s invite and we watch him get pulled out of the house, and then Jason and Jessica get to know each other all over again.
True Blood Season 5 Episode 2 My manhood is not threatened by this chick. Let’s get it on!
